The Westeifel Werke is a non-commercial corporation operating a state-approved workshop for handicapped people according to § 54 of the Severely Handicapped Amendment Act. More than 530 mentally, physically and psychologically handicapped people obtain furtherance with regards to their personality, receive occupational training and carry out expedient jobs at the same time.

Experience gathered over the last 30 years clearly demonstrates that handicapped persons, despite their limited capabilities, are nevertheless highly motivated workers with a strong urge to work. Every Euro which is earned goes directly toward the benefit of the handicapped person. Beside economic principles, social i.e. educational, therapeutic, medicinal and psychological functions need to be warranted. First and foremost, it is our objective to maintain and develop the existing above average attendance standard, while keeping in mind the constant improvement of the quality of life pertaining to each handicapped person.
