Surface treatment is an elementary factor which largely contributes to wood processing. It has several functions. It is not only responsible for the surface structure but also provides protection from ultraviolet rays and weather influences. This applies especially to wood types, which bear a natural low resistance. Glaze appliance is fully automatic and processor controlled. A modern surface coating process warrants an even thickness layer and a surface excluding weaknesses, thus ensuring long term protection. Oak- and walnut-coloured glaze are standard. Other colours as listed in RAL-chart are available on request. FSC-certified wood is delivered untreated, oiled or glazed. Due to its’ high natural resistance, impregnation and glaze coating are unnecessary.
